Welcome

Your first visit, made easy

Whether you’re new to Houston, switching practices, or coming back after years away — here’s exactly what to expect, so nothing about the first visit is a surprise.

A welcoming moment at the front desk

What the first visit looks like

Plan on about an hour. You’ll meet the team, talk with Dr. Basil about your history and what you want — that conversation genuinely steers the visit — and get a thorough examination with digital imaging you’ll see on screen. Most first visits include a professional cleaning unless your situation calls for something more specific first.

You leave with an honest picture of where things stand and, if anything needs doing, a prioritized written plan with exact costs: what’s urgent, what can wait, and what it all means in plain language. No upsell, no mystery pricing, no lectures — especially not if it’s been a long time. Coming in was the hard part; we treat it that way.

What to bring

A photo ID, your dental insurance card if you have one, a list of medications you take, and — if you can get them — recent x-rays from a previous dentist, which we can request on your behalf. Arriving 10 minutes early for paperwork does the rest. We open at 6:30 am, so early-before-work appointments are our specialty; care is available in English, Arabic and Spanish.

Good to know

New patient questions, answered

It’s been years since I saw a dentist. Honestly, what happens?

Honestly: a warm welcome, a thorough look, and a prioritized plan — no scolding at any point. Years-away patients are some of our favorite stories, and sedation options exist if anxiety is part of what kept you away.

Do you take my insurance?

We work with most major PPO plans and we’ll verify your benefits before your visit so you know what’s covered — call us with your card and we’ll do the checking.

Can my whole family come here?

Yes — the practice has cared for Houston families, kids included, since 1998. Book the family together and we’ll make the scheduling painless.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Usually within days — and if something hurts, tell us when you call: we keep room for urgent visits during office hours.
